My elder daughter is currently horse crazy, so I couldn’t resist this fabric from the Folk Modern fabric collection. I had purchased 1.5 m in each of these colours and had come up short to date, on what to make with them. When I was browsing the Hide and Seek dresses on flickr, I noticed a few versions that had taken the highlight bodice fabric down onto the skirt panels and thought it would look great in these fabrics.
The biggest trick to this was fussy cutting the fabrics to line up properly at the side seams and the overlap on the bodice. I only missed for one sections of G’s back bodice, but was still disappointed because her lining was perfect! Girls loved them and the bright colours looked great in the Santa photos from our work Christmas party.
