MJP is currently working on doll house / book cases for the girl’s rooms based on this pattern from Etsy. Our goal was that they would be part of their Christmas presents, however, MJP dropped one of the sheets of plywood on his toe, which laid him up for a week before Christmas! The only time he hasn’t worn his work boots to Home Depot…….
With our first plan not realistic, we decided to work on their doll house and furniture over the Christmas holidays while they were home. The girls helped me stuff and design the cushions and bean bag chairs, using scraps of fabrics that I had also used for their dolls quilts. Girls are very excited about the doll houses and we all can’t wait for the painting to be done. Next step for us, is to have them help with finishing the curtains and valences for the windows in the houses. We are all eagerly awaiting the day when MJP will be able to move the new doll houses into their rooms!
